The Orange Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Christmas Tree Shop on Indian River Road at 11:47 p.m.

After firefighters were enroute, the alarm company notified the police dispatch that the problem was workers soldering something in a bathroom.

Fire officers proceeded anyway to check things out — that is common practice.

Engine 33 was on the way moments later.

By 12:08 a.m. all fire units were leaving the scene. Alarm activation was deemed accidental.
