The Peck & Post Plaza

Looking for a fun way to spend the evening and raise money for a good cause? The merchants at Peck and Post Plaza, 547 Boston Post Road in Orange have rallied together and are hosting an outdoor Fall Block Party on Friday evening, Sept. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to raise money for the Breast Cancer Emergency Aid Foundation

Enjoy this wonderful weather that is upon us with fun group dance lessons courtesy of Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Orange. Absolute Tan will be participating by inviting the public inside their salon to give the new state of the art tanning beds a try.  Also, new merchant, Oregano Joe’s Pizza, will be offering up soda and slices of their delicious pizza to try out at a nominal cost.

Topping things off will be a live DJ courtesy of Orange Ale House and Absolute Tan who will spin tunes and add to the festivities.

“So many lives have been touched by Breast Cancer that we wanted to do something to show our support for the courageous women who battle this disease,”  said coordinator Chris Sabourin, owner of Fred Astaire Dance Studio.

Sabourin, who also is a Nurse Practitioner at Yale said, “Many of my patients and students are breast cancer survivors who enjoy the fun and health benefits of dance. We thought this Fall Block Party will be a great way to kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, have fun and raise some money for this worthy organization that assists women and their families with financial support while they are battling with Breast Cancer.”

Stop in on Friday. The first 50 people who register will receive a free goody bag and raffle ticket for a nice assortment of prizes.
