Edward Bernstein, 94, formerly of Orange, died peacefully at the Hebrew Home and Hospital in West Hartford on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012.

Born in New Haven, Feb. 12, 1918, he was the son of the late Samuel & Rebecca Bernstein, and grew up in the Allingtown section of West Haven.

After graduating from West Haven High School, he served in the anti-aircraft division of the U.S. Army in New Guinea during World War II and was the owner of the Lincoln Industrial Company.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia; son, Richard Bernstein; daughter-in-law, Adriana Blanco, and granddaughters, Alexis, Samantha, & Ayla. Funeral Services were at B’nai Jacob Memorial Park, Wintergreen Ave., New Haven.
