Celebrate the holidays early today in Orange and Milford (related to Orange)

Breakfast With Santa

The Orange Ale House, 517 Boston Post Road, Orange, hosts the Junior Womans Club of Milford’s Breakfast with Santa today from 9 am. to 1 p.m.

The Ale House chef will cook up some great breakfast foods that the kids love, free crafts and more.

Tickets are $5 each or $20 maximum per family.

Academy Museum Open

The Academy Museum Antique Shop, 605 Orange Center Road has gifts of all kinds for that “hard to buy for” member of the family and friends.

Unique antiques and collectibles are for sale at this unusual shop.  Come browse, shop and stroll through the museum’s many 
exhibits of Orange history, Native American and the 19th century New Haven & Derby Railroad display.

The Academy is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pet Photos with Santa

The Milford-Orange Animal Control,  664 East Broadway, Milford, welcomes Santa Claus for a special Photo session  Dec. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Enjoy complimentary popcorn, cotton candy and hay rides.

Dogs, cats (Children welcomed too) only, $10 per photo


Al deCant Family Concert

Singer- songwriter Al deCant will perform in a Special Family Holiday Concert at the Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m.

The Nutcracker Ballet

New England Ballet Company presents the Nutcracker Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. at Parsons Government Center, 70 West River Street, Milford. A family-friendly timeless holiday tradition with local dancers from our own premiere dance company.

Tickets are $22, $28, $38, $48. All seats are reserved.

Earlier in the day, the integrated dance and theatre adaptation of Nutcracker Suite for youngsters of all abilities will be staged at the Parsons Government Center at 11 a.m.

A collaborative effort between New England Ballet, and the City of Milford’s Adaptive Arts Program. The program is designed to be recreational fun for children and young adults of all abilities, incorporating music, movement, dance, theatre and social interaction.

Menorah Lighting

Congregation Or Shalom, 205 Old Grassy Hill Road, will have an Outdoor Menorah Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.

They will light the outdoor Menorah and celebrate Hanukah with song and dance.
