While the Lyman Hall boys swim team won first place in diving, the 50-yard freestyle, the 100 free, and the 500 free, Amity used its depth to sweep the 100 backstroke and the 100 breaststroke as well winning both first and second place in five other events to defeat the Trojans 107-76 Thursday night. The Southern Connecticut Conference meet was held at the Orange Community Center Pool. With this convincing victory, Amity improved its spotless record to 4-0.

A.J. Pite paced the Spartans with victories in both the 200 individual medley (1 minute, 58.19 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (1:00.46). In addition Pite teamed with Matt Cucurello, Brian Liang, and Shephen Cheung to post a winning time of 1:47.87 in the 200 medley relay.

In addition to being on that winning relay, Cucurello also won the 100 backstroke (1:00.45) and placed second in the 200 IM (2:13.62).
