State Representative Paul Davis (D-117) has been appointed Deputy Majority Leader by Speaker of the House – Designate Brendan Sharkey (D-Hamden) and Majority Leader Joseph Aresimowicz (D-Berlin).
As Deputy Majority Leader, Rep. Davis will be working to develop and pass the 2013 legislative agenda.
Rep. Davis has also been appointed to serve on the Education, Environment, Energy and Technology and Legislative Management committees.
“I am honored the Democratic leadership has appointed me Deputy Majority Leader,” Davis said. “I am looking forward to working with our new leadership in the year ahead. I also want to thank the residents of Milford, Orange and West Haven for giving me the opportunity to serve them again.”
Rep. Davis was re-elected to his fifth term in the General Assembly from the 117th District representing the towns of Milford, Orange and West Haven.
