The butterfly stroke

The swim meet at the Glastonbury pool was a heartbreaker for Amity as their record dropped to 8-1 while Glastonbury upped its perfect record to 9-0.

Glastonbury won 7 of the contests and Amity came out on top in 5.

Amity’s A.J. Pite, Charlie Pite and Dylan Swanepoel each won 2 contests:

Charlie Pite  took the 100 yard Butterfly in 56.25; A.J. Pite finished the 100 yard Breaststroke in 1:01.47; and Dylan Swanepoel completed the 500 yard Freestyle in 4:45.68.

All three, along with teammate Ben Bacal took the 400 yard Freestyle Relay in  3:28.74.

Rounding out Amity’s victories was Brian Liang  with the 200 yard Individual Medley at 2:04.42.

This meet was a blow to the Spartans who have defeated most of their opponents by about 20 points throughout the season.

Once again, Amity is now 8-1 for the season, still an awesome achievement.
