First Selectman Jim Zeoli ready to run for a fifth term.

A press release from Orange GOP Chairman Rick Roberts:

The Orange Republican Town Committee endorsed James Zeoli for First Selectman of the Town of Orange at their meeting on June 19.

“Jim has served as First Selectman since 2005 and has shown the vision and experience that is critical to the future of Orange,” said Chairman Rick Roberts.

Zeoli will be seeking his 5th term as First Selectman.

“I will continue taking the tough issues facing our community head-on.  We must continue to stress financial responsibility, both from a cost reduction and revenue generation standpoint. We have had great success with our commercial economic development and will continue to pursue the growth of our commercial tax base with a sound, well thought-out plan. Together with my Republican team, I will continue to support and improve our schools which are among the best in the state. We have always and will continue to help seniors maintain a comfortable lifestyle in our town,” stated Jim Zeoli.

The Republican Town Committee has also endorsed a solid team of incumbents along with some talented newcomers who will join Zeoli on the Republican slate.
