cropped pink rosesDorothy Rose Quinlan Sabo, 93, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late James Sabo, passed away July 4, 2013, in St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Frank and Esther Noden Quinlan and a lifelong Bridgeport resident, having been raised in the Black Rock section of the City.

She enjoyed the music of the Big Bands and dancing at the Ritz Ballroom. Dorothy retired from The Swan Engraving Company and was active with the John Winthrop School P.T.A.

She is survived by her two beloved sons, James D. Sabo and wife Marianne of Trumbull and William J. Sabo and wife Victoria of Reston, VA, a brother, John Quinlan of Orange, five loving grandchildren, Scott Sabo, Lisa Lane and husband Gary, Kara Dias and husband Carlos, Jocelyn Sabo and Christiane Popperwell and husband Joseph, five great grandchildren, Victor and Hunter Dias, Brittney, Ashley and Callie Lane and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Jane Wilson. Funeral services and burial will be private.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the 7th floor at St. Vincent’s Medical Center as well as the staff of The Connecticut Hospice, Inc. for their care and support.
