On Saturday, October 19th, the Church of the Good Shepherd will host its 2nd annual gala with the New York Dinner Theater’s “The Amazing 70s Prom” in the ballroom at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Road.
In this hilarious audience participation comedy, you will step into a world of laughter and fun. You can be part of the show or simply sit back and enjoy the antics.
“At this year’s prom, everyone will be treated like royalty. Every guest recognized as either a King or Queen. Whether you’re attending prom for the first time or reliving a memory, we promise a great time! No curfew, no chaperons and you’re old enough to drink responsibly,” said Gala Chair, Kathie Bellis of Woodbridge.
“On a daily basis, the Church of the Good Shepherd changes lives through mission, ministry and outreach. Our good works depend upon the generosity and support of dedicated volunteers and donations from the larger community,” said Ann Ritonia, Rector for the Church of the Good Shepherd. “We hope to see many of last year’s wedding guests from “The Godfather’s Meshuggener Wedding” to return to this year’s “The Amazing 70’s Prom” on October 19th”
Ballroom doors will open @ 6 p.m. During the cocktail hour, guests will enjoy a Silent Auction, Chinese Auction, and Prom Portraits. Corsages and boutonnieres will be sold at the door.
Dinner, dancing, and dessert will be enjoyed throughout the comedy show with a fabulous DJ. During intermission, there will be an amazing Live Auction. The evening will conclude with an extra hour of dancing under the Disco Ball.
Like last year’s sold out event, we will return to St. Barbara’s beautiful ballroom on Racebrook Road. Tickets are $75 per person until September 1st. After September 1st, tickets will be $90 per person.
