Lawrence’s frank portrayal of an extramarital affair and the explicit sexual explorations of the characters caused this book to be banned as pornography until 1960. Today, his lyric and sensual last novel has been called “our time’s most significant romance.” Discussion led by Toby Zabinski. Check for copies at the Circulation Desk.
