The Breast Cancer Awareness Month Ceremony at the Orange Town Hall on Wednesday, October 23, was well attended.
The Town honored cancer survivor Christine “Chrissy” Varholak, an Orange resident and Kindergarten teacher at Mary L. Tracy School.
HERE is VIDEO of Chrissy addressing the crowd.
Every year a pink ribbon wreath is placed on the front door of Town Hall. Anyone wishing to do so may take a pink ribbon from the wreath to honor those who have survived as well as those who have succumbed to breast cancer.
Pink ribbon cards will be sold and hung in Town Hall to benefit Susan G. Komen Connecticut. You may make a $5 monetary contribution and dedicate your donation to those who have survived breast cancer and those who have not.
