Beloved wife of George Mc Ginnis Jr., loving mother of Kathleen Ann Mc Ginnis of Ocean, NJ and Diane Lee Capecelatro and husband Rick of Orange, dear grandmother of Kevin Capecelatro and his wife Jeanine, Michael Capecelatro and Robby Capecelatro, dearest great grandmother of Anthony, Julia and Nicholas, dear sister of Eleanor Monaghan of Hawthorne and Margaret De Maria of Fair Lawn, dearest aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Born in Paterson, Betty lived in Fair Lawn for over 75 years.
She was employed as a platform assistant at the Valley National Bank, Elmwood Park for 12 years until retirement in 1988.
Mrs. Mc Ginnis was a member of the Church of the Atonement, Fair Lawn where she was on the Altar Guild and received recognition from the Bishop for her Nursing Home Ministry. She was formerly a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Paterson where she was on the Altar Guild, member of the choir and the vestry.
Elizabeth was an avid bowler in Fair Lawn and a member of the Fair Lawn Garden Club.
Additionally, Mrs. Mc Ginnis volunteered at the Bergen County Blood Bank and the Preakness Hospital, Wayne.
Friends may call Wednesday at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne between 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral will be Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Atonement, 1-36 30th Avenue, Fair Lawn. Cremation will be private.
The family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Church of the Atonement or a charity of the donor’s choice .
