One hundred percent of the enrollment fees were then donated to Connecticut Food Bank or Foodshare. Additionally, participating locations collected non-perishable food items for each of the food banks in bulk collecting a total of 7,280 lbs worth of food.

As part of their commitment to the local community, Planet Fitness franchise owner Jason Price was in attendance to present Connecticut Food Bank and Foodshare with a $17,482.79 total donation from a November promotion. “We are thrilled to partner with Connecticut Food Bank and Foodshare to help provide nutritious food to those who need it most, especially during the holiday season when there is increasing demand for food assistance.” stated Price “Many thanks go to our new members who reached out and gave with their hearts.”

Foodshare estimates that $1 donated can provide 3 meals. The total Planet Fitness donation yielded approximately 52,500 meals for Connecticut families in need this holiday season.
