Orange police served two arrest warrants on Jeremy Connor, 32, of 420 Fountain St., Apt. A, New Haven after he was picked up at the New Haven Superior Court on an unrelated matter Dec. 19 at 6:04 p.m.
The first warrant charging animal cruelty stemmed from an incident in June when officers responded to a private residence on Taulman Road and found a sick and malnourished dog inside.
The dog was turned over to animal control authorities; a warrant was obtained for the dog’s owner.
The second warrant, charging Second-degree Failure to Appear in Court was due to Connor’s failure to appear in court on previous motor vehicle charges.
Connor was released after posting $1,000 bond for court Jan. 8.
