police carDistraction Burglary

Police responded to a home on Racebrook Road in regards to a distraction burglary on Nov. 4 at 6:58 p.m.

During the investigation, officers learned that a man had come to the home claiming to be a “tree worker” stating that he needed the 83-year-old woman to show him where the property line was.

The suspect brought the woman around to the side of the home while a second unknown suspect apparently entered the home and took $4,400 worth of jewelry.

The victim realized the jewelry was missing after the “tree worker” had left, and she contacted the police.

Officers are working diligently to solve this case.
