Dante “Dan” Izzo, 54, of Sterling, formerly of Orange, passed away suddenly on Jan. 3, 2014.
Born in New Haven, to the late Gloria and Ralph Izzo, he was raised and lived in Orange before moving to the Plainfield area. He was employed for many years as an automotive technician and most recently by Wernicki Trucking.
Dan was a great friend to many, always willing to help whenever anybody called. He loved his animals, was an avid car enthusiast, and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Cristina of Branford; his beloved brothers, Paul Izzo (Cindy) of Keller, Texas, and Jeffrey Izzo (Karen) of Sterling; his loving sisters, Sally McGarthy (Michael) of New Haven and Karyn Campbell (Dennis) of Stratford. He also leaves behind a niece and several nephews.
Our family is very thankful to all who were a special part of Danny’s life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 898 Voluntown Road, Griswold, CT 06351.
Donations in Dan’s memory may be made to your local food pantry.
