Jane Opper, second from right, accepts a check for the Amity Teen Center.

The Amity Teen Center received $15,670.82  from Connecticare on Friday, through the Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA).  It will be able to put more solar panels on the Teen Center roof.

The funding is specifically restricted for the Amity Teen Center energy conservation project, which primarily includes expanding the solar panel installation, according to ATC President Jane Opper.

She explained that the NAA is a corporate tax credit program administered by the state of Connecticut.
