Amity outshot Hand 33- 16

Assistant Coach Michael Richetelli said the Spartans are still striving to play in the tournament.

“This was a conference game, and we knew coming in that we’re still on the outside looking in for the SCC tournament. This game helps us get there,” Richetelli said. “We’ve got 2 more SCC games out of the 3 we have left. Hand has a solid team, and we worked hard, especially in the third period again. We went into the third with 4-2 and scored on a power play … we’re just working to try and see something happen.”

He added that the team was solid and had great senior leadership and goalie Brian Mosher played another good game.

Amity plays again next Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Bridgeport against Fairfield-Warde at 6:30 p.m.

Senior Day is Saturday, March 1 at Bennett Rink, West Haven at 1 p.m.
