The Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, will feature oil paintings by William “Bill” Meddick, Milford’s former art center director, in the 2nd floor art gallery for its March Art In The Library Exhibit.

The paintings will be on display from March 6 to 29 with a public opening reception on Thursday, March 6 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Meddick studied painting at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, N.Y., and was an apprentice scenic painter at Atlas Scenic Studios, Norwalk.

All of his works are done with direct observation of the subject matter, ranging from landscapes, still lifes and figures within interiors.

He has exhibited widely throughout region and currently serves on the board of the New Haven Paint and Clay Club in New Haven.

Hours for the Case Memorial Library are: Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
