The Amity Freshmen Class is reaching out to the Amity community to ask for donations of toys and money to purchase toys for the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.
The donated toys will be used to fill the toy closet on the pediatric floor. The Toy Closet Program provides a new toy to each pediatric patient receiving care at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. All toys must be new, unwrapped, and sized so the closets can accommodate them. Stuffed or plush toys cannot be accepted because of hospital infection control standards. No toys promoting violence will be accepted.
Suggestions for toy donations include infant toys, crafts, cars, trucks, videos, coloring books, crayons, games, dolls, jewelry, art supplies. Donations can be made at donation boxes located in front of the main office.
For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit http://www.ynhh.org/community-health/toy-closet-program.aspx . The toy drive will be running now through Friday, March 28.
