Mika the mini pinscher who went missing 7 days ago had his human family so distraught as they wondered if he was okay and if they would ever see him again.
They did everything they could to find him, contacting the media (orangelive, for one) and plastering his hometown of Orange and the city of Milford with “missing” posters.
This morning marked Mika’s second birthday, making it even tougher for his family. Until they received a phone call that they had hoped for.
Mika Has Been Found!
The wee dog with a lot of spirit has been exploring the city of Milford for the past week, traveling from Gulf Street to Furniture Row. — I’m sure he didn’t travel in a straight line, but if he had, it would have been more than a mile on those tiny legs.
This afternoon, a man spotted him behind Tri-City Appliance on Furniture Row (in the Pond Point area of Milford) and gave his “mom” a call.
The little guy is celebrating his birthday at home with his family tonight.
How’s that for a happy ending?
“Everyone has been so wonderful,” said Mika’s mom, Kathleen. “We are so grateful for the concern, and that we have him home today.”
The family thanks everyone for their help.
