Jake was found this morning.

Jake was found this morning.

Do you know Jake?

This little Bichon was found by a teacher on Ridge Road in Orange this morning. He was terribly matted and thirsty.

Jake is identified by a tag attached to his peace/love rescue collar (with peace signs, dog paws and hearts) and a phone number.

Unfortunately, the phone number – 203-624-1857 – has been disconnected and the owner cannot be reached.

Update: The little guy was cared for at Turkey Hill School where the teacher works, and then the Milford-Orange Animal Control picked him up around 10 a.m.

The animal control officer said they would clean Jake up, and he is there now. Call 203-783-3279 and help Jake get back home or to see him. If he is not claimed, he would be up for adoption after a certain amount of time.

We hope he gets a second chance at happiness.

Original story: Currently, at 9:15 a.m., Jake is in the teacher’s car in the Turkey Hill School parking lot with water and a blanket. But not for long, the Milford-Orange Animal Control will  be picking him up soon.

If you recognize Jake or the phone number, please e-mail Orange Live or call the school at 203-891-8040 (before 10 p.m.) or call Animal Control at 203-783-3279 and help Jake get back home.
