Orange residents are lucky to have Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo only a few miles away at 1875 Noble Avenue, Bridgeport.
The Zoo offers children and adults of all ages an opportunity to see many species of birds and animals up close.
One of the most popular exhibits is the Otter habitat. Visitors tend to stay around for a very long time watching these fun creatures wiggle up the rocks, dive into the water and swim.
The zoo announced that the exhibit has become just a little more exciting and adorable with the birth of four otter pups, 2 male and 2 female, in February.
Watch this video from April 17 when they had their first exam by our veterinarian and transponders were inserted to track and identify them throughout their lives.
Their mom, Necedah, came to us in 2012 while their dad, Rizzo, has lived at our Zoo since 2004.
Gather up your children and come to the Beardsley Zoo to see these babies and all the other wonderful animals.
Visit the Beardsley Zoo Booth at the upcoming Orange Business and Community Expo at High Plains Community Center on June 18.
