IMG_3425The Amity Spartans shook off a tough loss to the Fairfield Prep Jesuits on Monday and came out strong against Foran on Tuesday afternoon in Woodbridge.

Amity scored the first 3 goals of the game within the final 2:38 minutes of the first quarter. At the half, they led the Lions 6-0.

The Spartans stayed strong in the third quarter with 4 more goals. Foran finally made it onto the board with 2 goals, ending the third quarter at 10-2 Spartans.

The fourth quarter proved to be a total adrenaline rush for both the Spartans and their fans with Amity slamming in 7 additional goals to Foran’s 3.

Junior Brad Uscilla was the game’s high-scorer with 4 goals; Joe Choiniere made 3 goals and 2 assists; David Buono made 3 goals and 1 assist;  Tyler Burns made 1 goal and 5 assists;  Matt DeLizio 2 goals and 2 assists;  Jake Milner 2 goals, 1 assist;  Nick Coassin 1 goal and 1 assit;  Steven Sember made 1 goal.

Paul Mirmina made 2 goals for the Lions: Drew Perani, Sal Rosa, and Zach White each made 1 goal and  Jonathan Depascale had 1 assist. 

Amity’s goaltender James Chapman worked hard at the net with 15 saves; Josh Teller made 10 saves for the Lions. 

Records: Amity 10-3; Foran 9-2
