Books & Breakfast Morning Book Discussion Group: Orphan Train by Christina Kline Baker

Between 1854 and 1929, so-called orphan trains ran regularly from the cities of the East Coast to the farmlands of the Midwest, carrying thousands of abandoned children whose fates would be determined by pure luck. The author will discuss her new book Garden of Dreams, a biography of renowned French actress Simone Signoret, who captivated audiences in such films as Casque d’Or, Room at the Top, and Les Diaboliques. Presented by the Friends of the Library.
