th-4A Flash Flood Watch in effect through 8 a.m. on May 17 due to  a slow moving cold front moving across the area through tonight. Rain will become heavy at times this evening and overnight with thunderstorms. Total rainfall is expected to range between 1 and 2 inches with localized amounts up to 3 inches in some areas.

There is an increased threat of significant urban flooding and flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas. 

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is dangerous. Monitor the forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
