Born in Newark, she was formerly of Montclair where she graduated from Montclair High School in 1941 and went on to attend Parsons School of Design in New York City. Elizabeth lived 30 years in Franklin Lakes and 20 years in Little Silver before moving to Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls 6 ½ years ago. Elizabeth was a parishioner of Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Hanwell; her second husband, John Borda and her daughter, Joan Osinski in 2010.
She is survived by two sons, John Paul Borda and wife Deanna of Scarborough, Ontario, Canada and Paul John Borda, Oakland; four daughters, Lorette and husband William Schmuhl, South Bend, IN, Frances Borda, Pebble Beach, CA, Janice Borda, Ringwood, and Jean and husband Richard Masella, Little Silver; son-in-law, Mark Osinski, Orange, 12 grandchildren, Jenifer, Luke, Frances, William, Angela, Victor, Elizabeth, Richard, Nora, Kelsey, Tess and Kendra and four great-grandchildren.
Her funeral took place on Thursday, May 14 at the Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven.
