Screen shot 2014-05-30 at 2.46.10 PMRobert ‘Blue’ Fantarella of Orange is set to attend Suny Cobleskill in New York this fall.

Blue is a recent graduate of the Trumbull High School Agricultural Program. In the Trumbull program he majored in Agriculture Mechanics and Plant Science. He is an active member in the FFA (Future Farmers of America).

He also lettered 3 years in Hockey, received Trumbull High ‘Coaches’ Award, and he is a competition Bull Rider.

At Cobleskill, Blue will be in the Agricultural Engineering Program, with a major in Power and Machinery. Locally he has received a sponsorship from New England Power Equipment, (N.E.P.E.) a John Deere dealership in Old Saybrook.

N.E.P.E. has recently changed ownership and is proud to be involved in the John Deere Sponsorship program. Blue will be doing an internship at N.E.P.E. starting this summer which he will be involved with throughout his college term.

His time this summer will also be spent continuing to work with his father and sister at ‘Fantarella Farm,’ his family’s hobby farm in Orange, as well as competing in rodeos in the tri-state area in the Bull Riding events.

Blue is the son of Bobby Fantarella of Orange and Denise Fantarella also of Orange.
