Every June the Orange Congregational Church’s annual Strawberry Festival sees a flurry of activity with crafters, musicians, artists and of course strawberry shortcake.
The festival is one of the most anticipated and well attended events in town, so popular that last year it moved from the Green to the Orange Fairgrounds, 525 Orange Center Road, where there is more space to allow for a better layout and easier navigation between the vendors, entertainment and dining areas.
The 2014 Strawberry Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Everything depends on which side of the bed Mother Nature wakes up on. Today’s forecast is for sprinkles early, chance of showers most of the day. Tomorrow promises to be clear and sunny.
It looks like she woke up in a good mood! Come on down to the Orange Fairgrounds and enjoy a beautiful day!
Red Car Show
New to the Strawberry Festival is the Red Car Show.
All red cars and trucks are welcomed. They will be shown from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Dash Plaques, trophies, ballot voting.
For information, contact George Catalano at 203-799-6748 or e-mail GECAT99@aol.com.
The festival attracts about 4,000 guests each year. The strawberry shortcake is great, but don’t forget to pick up a strawberry rhubarb pie – they’re phenomenal.
