Three Israeli teens, Eyal Yifrach, 19, Gil-ad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Fraenkel, 16, were kidnapped on June 12. Sadly, the boys were murdered and their bodies found buried side by side in Palestine on June 30.
Here is a message from Rabbi Alvin Wainhaus from Congregation Or Shalom:
Israel mourns for Naftali Frenkel ז״ל, Eyal Yifrach ז״ל and Gilad Shaar ז״ל.
Words cannot adequately express our sense of outrage and sadness over the murder of these three defenseless Yeshivah boys.
May G-d sustain their parents and families, for whom our hearts ache.
May those responsible for their murders be brought to justice.
Tonight, Wednesday, July 2, at 7pm, consider joining the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven and the Jewish Community Relations Council at the JCC in Woodbridge, where we will come together as a community in solidarity with the families of the victims and the State of Israel.
Tomorrow, Thursday morning, July 3, consider joining us at our weekday Minyan at Congregation Or Shalom as we remember Naftali, Gilad and Eyal in prayer. Our Minyan begins at 7:30 am, and will end at about 8:10 am with a special Kaddish for Naftali, Eyal and Gilad.
