On Monday, May 12, sixth grade students from Peck Place School left their comfortable digs at the Yale Campus in Orange to attend their annual Senior Prom at High Plains Community Center.
The students, all dressed in their Sunday Best, greeted dozens of Orange Senior residents for the special occasion.
The children and adults were treated to food and fun DJ music and danced the afternoon away.
Each year the students learn some great moves from their older counterparts, a few who were pros in their younger years.
Some children, like State Rep. Paul Davis’s granddaughter, enjoyed spending time with their grandparents and doing the Macarena together.
The class of 2015 will host the occasion at their newly renovated Peck Place School, where it traditionally had taken place.
The Senior Prom is one of the events that got lost in a sea of news stories and was never posted.
