IMG_5723Chris Winkel did all he could to give Orange Post 127 a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Hamden, as Orange Post 127 lost 4-3 in seven innings at Legion Field on Friday.

Orange Post 127 was led by Winkel’s hitting. He went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the first inning.

Jimmy Magson recorded the win for Hamden. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Eric Class ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

Orange Post 127 jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first with Winkel’s triple, scoring Jake Russo started the inning off.

Hamden never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring three runs on a solo home run by Moskal and a two-run single by Magson.

Post 127’s record dropped to 14-6 with this loss.
