Screen shot 2014-07-13 at 10.29.39 PMDorothy “Dolly” Bruno, 78 of Orange, entered into eternal rest on July 4, 2014 at her home.

Born September 27, 1935 in Bridgeport, CT to Thomas and Dorothy Vastano she was the beloved wife to Americo Bruno for 51 years.

A longtime resident of Stratford and Sandy Hook, she spent 15 years of retirement in Mexico with her husband Ric.

Dolly’s beautiful smile and contagious laugh was her trademark. Her greatest joy in life was her daughter Lynda.

Dolly is survived by her daughter Lynda Pasquarella and husband Wayne of Shelton, and a sister Doris Simmonds of Vero Beach, FL.

Dolly was predeceased by a son Thomas Bruno in 1997, and brothers Vincent and Lawrence Vastano.

Entombment will be in St. Michael cemetery in Stratford, CT. Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Americo “Ric” Bruno, 82 of Orange, entered into eternal rest July 9, 2014 at Yale-New Haven hospital.

Born December 28, 1931 in Bridgeport, CT to Frank and Anna Bruno he was married November 17, 1963 to Dorothy Vastano.

A longtime Sikorsky employee, Ric “The Music Man” would moonlight doing what he loved, playing jazz on his saxophone in nightclubs throughout the greater Bridgeport area.

Ric is survived by sons Richard Bruno and wife Joyce of Jonesboro ME, Ronald Bruno and wife Tess of Torrance, CA, daughter Lynda Pasquarella and husband Wayne of Shelton, CT, grandchild Natasha Bruno of Torrance, CA, sister Vera Chicarelli and husband Thomas of Trumbull, CT., and many nieces and nephews.

Ric was predeceased by his son Thomas Bruno in 1997, sisters Marianne, Fanny, Theresa, Helen, Patty, and Connie. Entombment will be in St. Michael cemetery in Stratford, CT. Services will be private.
