A fun, safe event for all!

The town invites everyone to become a Trunk or Treat sponsor. Donations of money can be made by check to the Town of Orange with a notation for Trunk Or Treat.

Gift certificates, candy and/or prizes are appreciated and checks also may be given to Alice DiNicola (203-848-4704) or Brad Marcus (203-676-7250).

They are expecting about 800 Trunk-or-Treaters so DiNicola suggests participants get 6 extra large bags of candy per car.  “But bring what you can. We want the kids to be shlepping home a nice load,” she said.

Why Trunk Or Treat?

The Inaugural year’s impromptu Trunk Or Treat Halloween event was planned and implemented on the fly by Orange parents Brad Marcus and Alice DiNicola after Hurricane Sandy struck on October 29, 2012 threatening to destroy the traditional trick-or-treating excursion for Orange children.

With minimal advertising and a lot of love behind the idea, the duo attracted droves of participants who decorated their cars, filled them with candy and gave the kids a night to remember.

Last year’s event also was very well attended and they hope the tradition will continue to grow in this, it’s third year, and beyond.
