Amity HIgh SchoolNewsweek has released its 2014 America’s High Schools List that “highlights schools that do the absolute best job of preparing students for college.”

The list ranks the top 500 high schools on performance, i.e. student’s college readiness, how many students are college bound, the graduation rate and percentage of poverty level students.

Amity High School came in first in CT and ranked 112 overall from the 500 schools across the nation. 

Amity’s scores: College readiness 92.74

                             College bound      79.2%

                             Graduation rate   60.76%

                             Poverty level students 4.41%
