MLT unicefJust days before Halloween, Mary L. Tracy School Parent Teacher Organization distributed letters and boxes to students explaining the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, Kids Helping Kids program.

The overwhelming support received for this program is truly heartwarming.

Monies collected were walked down to the local Peoples United Bank where pre-k students met Customer Service Manager, Silvi Sboui, who gave the students a tour of the branch that included a stop at the coin counter.  Students took turns pouring coins onto the conveyer belt and pressing the start button.

The result?  A cashier’s check made to the order of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, in the amount of $341.31.

Way to go kids!

The Mary L. Tracy PTO thanks all the students, families and community members that supported this global citizenship project.
