A very exciting Overtime win for the Amity Boys Lacrosse team today. We traveled to East Lyme and beat a strong ECC team. East Lyme is set to potentially join our SCC conference next year. They are a talented and well coached team.
Down 1 goal late in the 4th quarter, senior Ryan Rattley stepped up and scored a goal assisted by Mark Dellatorre with just 1.9 seconds left on the clock.
In the overtime periods, Cory Sachs won both faceoffs, and again Ryan Rattley scored the game winner on a transition goal assisted by junior midfielder, Chris Bierezoweic. The defense, led by Goalie Matt Perrotti was strong all game. Perrotti had 16 saves including 3 huge stops in OT.
After the game, senior midfielder Mark Dellatorre was announced as a captain for the remainder of the season due to the leadership and work ethic that he has displayed all season.
