This male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was found in the vicinity of Orange Center Road and Old Tavern Road around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14.

He was wearing a red collar with an electric fence monitor. No other identification.

The Good Samaritan called the Milford/Orange Animal Control and he was taken into their possession.

The good news is that he has since been reunited with his owner.

Remember, the Independence Day holiday is coming and most pets run away around that time than any other time of year because they are frightened by the loud firecrackers and fireworks that people set off everywhere.

Please prepare ahead of time and find something that will help keep your pet calm and comfortable during the next few weeks.
