With the end of the game drawing near and just 3 minutes left on the clock, North Haven’s Coach decided to pull his goalie and get an extra player on the ice. At first it seemed to work and the puck stayed on Amity’s end of the rink. Then Csejka broke away and made one final, unassisted goal into the empty net at 13:35, securing a 4-1 victory for the Spartans.
Amity Coach Michael Richetelli was pleased with his team’s performance, considering back-to-back snow days kept them from being able to practice prior to the game. “Today was pretty good,” he said. “North Haven is a very good team, they were solid they hit the post a couple of times and Michael had some big plays for us. Overall we did a good job.”
