The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory, which is in effect from noon Monday to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Heat Index Values are expected to be in the mid-90s to around 100 during the afternoon and early evening hours on both Monday and Tuesday.
Extreme heat can cause illness and death among the at-risk population who cannot stay cool. The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
An advisory is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely.
