The Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, offers the following upcoming events and activities for children, ‘tweens, and adults.

Oscar Film: Bohemian Rhapsody
Monday, March 25, 7 p.m.
Wednesday, March 27, 1 p.m.

The story of the legendary rock band Queen and lead singer Freddie Mercury, leading up to their famous performance at Live Aid in 1985. 2 hr. 14 min. PG-13.

Chess Club
Tuesday, March 26, 3:30 p.m.
Come join our chess club! This club is open to beginners and experienced players. During our meetings, children and tweens will be able to learn about this strategic board game and play against other club members. Feel free to bring your own chess board as the library has a small supply. For children and tweens in grades 1-6. TWAG — Bookend Painting
Wednesday, March 27, 3:45 p.m.
TWAG is going to run a little differently this month! We’ll not only discuss programming ideas and book recommendations, but we will also help beautify the Library by painting some of the Library’s bookends. These bookends will be used in the children’s room. Drinks and snacks will be served. For tweens grades 4-6. Registration is required. Mystery Book Discussion Group

Still Life by Louise Penny: Chief Inspector Armand Gamache and his team of investigators are called in to the scene of a suspicious death in a rural village south of Montreal.  Jane Neal, a local fixture in the tiny hamlet of Three Pines, has been found dead in the woods.  The locals are certain it’s a tragic hunting accident, but Gamache smells something foul in these remote woods. Discussion led by Librarian Samantha Jasulavic.  Please check for copies at the Circulation Desk.

Family Move and Groove

For children ages 3-5 and their caregivers (infants, young toddlers and older siblings are welcome, too).  Shake, clap, stomp, play, and sing at this fun series for little ones and caregivers!  Children will learn about following directions, rhyme and rhythm, and creative play through music and movement.  Please wear comfortable clothing to allow freedom of movement.  Registration is required.

Thursday, April 4, 5-7 p.m.
Featuring the artwork of Orange elementary school children.
