The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for our area from midnight to 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
Temperatures are expected to be falling into the mid and upper 30s which will result in frost formation.
Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
If you have any potted plants that you can bring indoors any time between now and midnight, do so as soon as possible. If not, bring out the blankets and cover any valued plants, such as tomatoes, garden flowers, herbs or anything you would like to keep from being ruined in extremely cold temperatures.
Get off the computer and go fetch your plants! Hurry!
I’ll be covering my moonflower and cypress vines. Today, I picked my larger tomatoes and put them in paper bags to ripen, why let them go to waste?
