Kyle Beaudette was the overall winner of Doc’s Race on Sunday. He also was the first Orange resident to cross the finish line.

The second annual Doc’s Race 5k took place in Orange Sunday morning June 29.

15-year-old Orange resident Kyle Beaudette crossed the finish line at 16:37.37, followed closely by Gilmar Barrios, 16, of Stamford at 16:47.53.

Elizabeth Fengler, 18, of Wallingford was the first female to finish.

Another Elizabeth (Elizabeth Hutchinson) 94, of New Hampshire was the oldest runner in the race and she was last to finish along with her entourage who carried a folding chair and umbrella.

car accident 2There was a 2 vehicle accident at the intersection of Old Tavern Road and Lambert Road this afternoon around 5:30 p.m.

The Volunteer Fire Department responded to clean up the spilled fluids. Both vehicles were removed by flatbed truck.

There were no injuries.
