In spite of the biting chill in the air and the steady winds, Amity was able to dominate the game with two goals in the first half — first and unassisted goal by Mikayla Beibowitz followed by Kaitlyn Paradis’s point assisted by Cassie Bishop.
Amity far outshot Lyman Hall and worked hard for this win.

The third game was the closest, with both teams staying tied point for the first 19 points, then the Lady Spartans just took off, winning that game 25-19.

The Lady Spartans has not had the best season so far with a 5-5 record leading up to last night’s game, and senior captain Janaya Young is still on the injured list.
Going up against Lyman Hall with a 5-4 record prior to the game, Amity really needed a win.
The game’s top scoring player was Amity’s junior Molly Dragan (#23) with 20 points, followed by Elise Graham (#24) with 14 points.
Dragan and Kaitlin Thomas each made one 3-point goal. Graham had 10 rebounds and 4 steals and Dragan had 7 assists.
Lyman’s Senior Emma Sears (#4) scored 17 points and Sophomore Sabrina Smith (#20) contributed 14. At 5’5″ junior Alyssa McCann (#1) was a force to be reckoned with, she only scored 2 points, but she was fast and easily sneaked in to block shots and kept things interesting.
Sears made a 3 point goal and Smith made two for the Trojans.
Quarter by quarter
The Lady Spartans took a quick jump on the Trojans, ending the first quarter 12-10.
In the second quarter Amity piled on 14 points to Lyman’s 6, keeping a sizable 26-16 lead going into the half.
Amity stayed strong in the third quarter adding 16 points to Lyman’s 10 and went into the final quarter with a comfortable 42-26 lead.
The Trojans fought back in the fourth quarter racking up 19 points to Amity’s 12, still it wasn’t enough to overtake the Lady Spartans.
Amity wins 54-45.

The Amity Boys Lacrosse Team is as strong as ever, led by excellent captains and a coaching team that really believes in them.
On Saturday morning, the Spartans traveled to Wallingford to take on Lyman Hall in this CIAC matchup.
Amity got a fast start with four goals and they were consistent throughout the game.
Lyman Hall’s Connor Sullivan made both of his team’s unassisted goals.
On Amity’s Side, Kyle Sullivan was the high scorer for the game with 4 goals; Jesse Cala made 2 goals; Brad Uscilla, 2 goals, 2 assists; Nick Coassin, 2 goals, 1 assist; Joey Choiniere, 1 goal, 2 assists; Ben DiMauro, Sean Grenier, Tyler Burns and Ajay King, each had 1 goal, 1 assist; Matt Attolino and Matt DeLizio each had 1 goal; Kyle Sullivan had 3 assists and Steve Sember had 2 assists.

Friday’s nail biter between the Lady Spartans and the Trojans was a real battle to the bitter end at Amity’s SCC Housatonic Division 35-33 win in Woodbridge.
Amity improved its record to (11-1) vs Lyman Hall (10-2) in this amazing show of endurance and determination on both sides.
Amity’s Elise Graham was the high-scoring player with 18 points and seven rebounds and Chloe Brinton added 11 points and seven rebounds. Mikaila Schmitt had 1 point and made seven rebounds for the Spartans. Isabella Bierezowiec and Rachel Nevolis both made 2 points, and Ashley Wu added 1 point.
Nicole Mierzejewski led the Trojans with 13 points;Taylor Mierzejewski added 8 points; Krista Petersen, 4; Naomi Rascati and Hayley Hergott each contributed 3 points and Kimberlyn Petit with 2.
