Screen Shot 2016-05-20 at 9.38.26 AMOfficers responded to a private residence on Riverside Drive on May 10 at 10:53 a.m. in regards to a disturbance.

During the investigation, officers learned that Michael Mizzone, 54, of 821 Riverside Drive, Orange had gotten into an argument with a female family member, and that the argument turned physical.

When the victim attempted to contact police, Mizzone reportedly struck her and prevented the call from going through. She was eventually able to make a second call which was successful.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

He was released on a promise to appear in court May 11.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveOn Oct. 23, a woman waved down patrol officers driving on Peck Lane at 6:05 a.m.

According to the report, Amy Romano, 42, of 79 Cherry St #3, Milford, advised officers that she and her boyfriend,Chad Stryker, 41, of the same address, had just gotten into an argument which then turned physical.

Police observed that both parties had injuries, and both admitted to the incident.

They were taken into custody and Romano was charged with third-degree assault and released on a promise to appear in court later that day. Stryker was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a promise to appear in court later that day.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveOfficers responded to a disturbance at a private residence on Fernbrook Road at 9:01 p.m. on Oct. 11.

During the investigation, officers learned that Dean Catania, 28, of 1028 Fernbrook Road had gotten into an argument with a family member, and that the argument turned violent. During the incident, the Catania allegedly struck the family member and broke her cell phone when she attempted to use it to call the police.

When the victim attempted to leave the scene, the Catania reportedly broke the window of the vehicle the victim was driving, which was occupied by the victim and children at the time. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Catania was released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 12.

Orange Police officers served a warrant on Shaun Williams, 31, of 277 Howard Ave., New Haven on Feb. 6 at 12:40 p.m.

The warrant stemmed from an incident at the Target store, 25 Boston Post Road, on Jan. 22, 2015.

According to the report, Williams was observed striking a three-year-old child multiple times in the store parking lot, and when witnesses attempted to intervene, he argued with them.

One of the witnesses obtained Williams’ vehicle information and reported the incident to police.

Investigation led to the issuance of the warrant, charging third-degree assault, second degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor.

Williams was released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 9.

BEST-POLICE-Patch-EVER-275x300On Nov. 25 at 6:07 p.m., Antoine Heath, 28, of 265 Blake St., #28, New Haven surrendered himself at police headquarters after learning of a warrant for his arrest.

The warrant was the culmination of an investigation that began after one of Heath’s relatives reported that she had been assaulted by him in the parking lot of a local restaurant on Oct. 25, 2014.

Heath was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

He was released after posting $15,000 bond for court Nov. 26.

BEST-POLICE-Patch-EVER-275x300A 24-year-old Orange man faces numerous charges following an incident last night.

According to the report, police responded to a private residence on Mapleview Drive regarding a disturbance on Oct. 30 at 9:10 p.m.

During the investigation, officers learned that Harry Crescenti, 24, of 752 Mapleview Drive and his godmother had gotten into an argument, which later turned physical.

Crescenti allegedly threatened the complainant with a knife, attempted to thwart a call to the police for help, and was then combative toward officers when they arrived. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with interfering with a 911 call, disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, interfering with an officer, second-degree threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Crescenti was held on $25,000 bond for court Oct. 31.

Officers were dispatched to a private residence on New England Lane regarding a disturbance, April 18 at 12:58 a.m.

During the investigation, police learned that Justin Seeler, 24, of 516 New England Lane had gotten into an argument with a family member, and that the argument turned physical.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Seeler was released after posting $500 bond for court April 18.

Officers responded to a private residence on Old Country Road on a disturbance complaint March 2 at 7:26 p.m.

Investigation revealed that David Cofrancesco, 42, of 465 New Haven Ave, Milford, was visiting relatives when he got into an argument with them. The argument turned physical, and Cofrancesco reportedly struck two female relatives, an adult and a juvenile.

According to the report, Cofrancesco then attempted to prevent one of the relatives from contacting police, but the call was successfully made and officers took him into custody.

Cofrancesco was charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, interfering with an emergency call and disorderly conduct.

He was released on a promise to appear in court March 3.

Officers responded CVS, 279 Boston Post Road, for a reported disturbance, Feb. 17 at 4:33 p.m.

According to the report, investigation revealed that, while inside the store, Michael Sgro, 37, of 7721R Fountain St, New Haven, felt that another customer had ‘cut’ in front of him in line at the pharmacy, so he began to yell at that customer causing a disturbance.

Sgro then followed the customer outside the store and pushed him to the ground.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Sgro was released on a promise to appear in court March 3.

Warrant Arrest

On Jan. 2, Alicia Barry, 29, of 1 Birch Lane, East Haven, surrendered herself at police headquarters after learning of a warrant for her arrest.

The warrant stemmed from an incident in December when he repeatedly contacted a former boyfriend, directly against the provisions of a protective order he had obtained against her.

Barry was taken into custody and charged with criminal violation of a protective order.

She was released after posting $5,000 bond.
