On Sunday evening Orange Live published a story about an attempted car break-in on Argyle Road.

The incident occurred at around 3 a.m. when 3 or 4 men attempted to break into a locked car in a driveway.

Almost directly across Orange Center Road on Crocker Court, another resident experienced an identical situation, six days earlier on Tuesday, May 15.

According to her account, 4 people were trying to break into the family’s cars in the driveway at around 3:30 a.m.

The perpetrators left two vehicles, one of them a large white Suburban type, idling on the street with the lights off.

“We did call the police and we have it on video,” she said.

So, with these two incidents in mind, remember to always lock your doors and take your valuables with you, or keep them out of sight.

If you see any suspicious activity or vehicles in your neighborhood, do not hesitate to call the Orange Police Department — open 24/7 — at 203-891-2130, and someone will come out to investigate and canvas the area.

Thief Looking Through A Car Window.

An Argyle Road resident reported that 3 or 4 men attempted to break into her car in the “middle of the night” at around 3 a.m. on Sunday.

The vehicle was locked, as Orange police have suggested many times in the past, so they did not gain entry.

There was no damage, nor was anything stolen and police were called to the scene.

Remember, the best way to protect your home and property is to lock your doors and to keep valuables out of sight.

If by chance, you experience something like this on your property or see any suspicious vehicles or people in your neighborhood call the Orange Police Department and they will send a patrol officer out to investigate/check the area.

The phone number is 203-891-2130.
