Make your reservations now for the fifth annual Bethany Leapley Autism Spectrum Disorder Scholarship Fund Wine and Beer Tasting that will take place at St. Barbara’s Church Ballroom, 480 Racebrook Road, on Saturday, May 18.

The fundraiser will begin at 7 p.m. and includes music and dancing, food, fine wine, and craft beer.

Tickets are $125 – Single / $800 – Table of Eight / $1000 – Table of Ten and a special price of $93.75 for a Single Ticket for Teachers & Special Ed Professionals.

dylan's wings of changeMaterial Girls Boutique, 463 Boston Post Road, will host a fundraising event to benefit the Dylan Hockley Memorial Fund “Dylan’s Wings of Change,” Thursday, April 3, from 6-9 p.m.

Sip, shop, and support Dylan’s Wings of Change, a not-for-profit foundation to support children with Autism and related conditions. In honor of Dylan Hockley, killed at Sandy Hook School Dec. 14, 2012.

Material Girls will have drinks, snacks, and tastings by Wildtree, and many fabulous items available for purchase.

ASD Fitness CenterTonight’s Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Fitness Center Scholarship Fundraiser event, the Wine & Craft Beer Tasting in Orange, is SOLD OUT!

More than 225 advance tickets were sold for this event and the venue is at capacity.

Fred R. Volkmar, MD and Pam Ventola, Ph.D. will be the guest speakers at the Wine & Craft Beer Tasting Fundraiser  sponsored by the Bethany Leapley Autism Spectrum Disorder Scholarship Fund at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Road, Saturday, Feb 1 at 7 p.m.

The event, emceed by television and radio talent Tony Terzi, includes hors d’oeuvres and desserts, a silent auction, and entertainment provided by DJ Jay.

The Amity Autism Speaks Club will be selling concessions, and running a raffle.

All proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks.

The Boys Varsity Basketball team is awesome again this year and will put on a thrilling game.

Come to the game, cheer on the Spartans, and help kids with Autism.

Screen shot 2013-04-06 at 11.39.22 AMThe Cohen and Wolf, P.C.  “Cinco de Miles” Road Race is looking for volunteers to help put on the  race benefiting Autism Services and Resources CT and the Orange Chamber

The race will begin and end at the High Plains Community Center on May 5, 2013 at 8:30 a.m.  Volunteers are needed at 7 a.m. to help with set up, setting up the course, parking and clean up. Call 203-795-3328 to volunteer.

Runners may still register on line at Active.com. Dri-fit tee shirts will be given to the first 400 runners to register. The course is a 5 mile run through Orange, beginning and ending at High Plains Community Center. Runners and walkers are invited to participate. The fee is $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the event.

Chamber Executive Director Carol Smullen said, “The race is a fantastic development opportunity, bringing people from all over the state to Orange. The Chamber is excited to offer this dynamic event promoting health and wellness, as well as supporting great causes and driving traffic to the area.”

ASRC provides information and research to help parents and professionals understand the barriers and challenges people with Autism Spectrum Disorders face on a daily basis. They are the leader in the state dedicated to training, advocacy, integrated recreational programs, sibling support, adult support and much more.
