Everyone is invited to the Camp Argo Open House on Sunday, April 22 from 6-7 p.m.  Kids are always welcome. Rain or shine (or snow).

Learn more about the camp, meet some of the counselors, take a brief tour and ask any questions.  Park in the main parking lot directly off of 886 Mapledale Road and then walk across the bridge to the main cafeteria building.
There have been so many camper registrations so far that organizers are seeking more help from high school aged volunteer counselors for this summer. Volunteering at Camp Argo can satisfy community service hours, improve a resume for college, and is a great way to learn more leadership skills while spending the summer outdoors.
If you know of an energetic, responsible teenager who loves or wants to work with kids please point them in our direction and to the “Join Our Team” page http://campargo.com/volunteer.php to fill out an application.
Feel free to forward this e-mail to others that you feel would be interested or who may have questions.
Your friends, family & neighbors are all welcome to have fun with us at Camp Argo this summer.

Laverne And Shirley Visit Orange Campers

Camp Argo, a new program at Camp Cedarcrest In Orange, which serves all children, including those with special needs, welcomed a couple of adorable visitors on Friday, July 28.

Maryellen Holden and her daughter Katherine, a recent college graduate, from Buttermilk Lane Farm on Garden Road in town, brought two 2-month-old goat kids (Laverne and Shirley) to meet the campers.

Camp counselors, including Denise Fantarella sat on the ground with the babies, surrounded by a circle of excited campers, who politely waited for his or her turn to come up and pet the goats.

This was a delightful experience for all of the children and the goats were so well behaved too.

Camp Argo has one more week long session this summer, and 2017 was so successful that the camp will be back again in 2018. Keep this program in mind when making summer plans for your children next summer.
