Officers responded to the Webster Bank branch located at 247 Boston Post Road in regard to a robbery on Monday, July 31 at 10:59 a.m.

Officers learned that just prior to arrival, a black or Hispanic male wearing jeans, a baseball cap, and a light colored shirt approached a teller and demanded money. He did not display or imply a weapon.

He left the bank with an undetermined amount of money and fled on foot in a westerly direction toward the Firelight plaza.

The Orange Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying the perpetrator who is pictured in the surveillance photos.

With the assistance of the Woodbridge and New Haven Police Departments, the suspect vehicle involved in Tuesday’s robbery at TD Bank on the Boston Post Road in Orange, was recovered On Thursday, July 13.

According to police, the 2017 Ford Fusion was an overdue rental from a rental company in New Haven. Orange Police Detectives will process the car for trace evidence along with evidence initially recovered at the scene.

Additionally,  Orange Police Detectives canvassed area businesses and discovered some more video of the vehicle and suspects. The male driver was captured on CCTV on foot attempting to recover evidence and a second female passenger is seen in the getaway car. The primary suspect (the woman accused of robbing the bank) was captured on CCTV without the wig she wore during the incident.

Orange Police continue to request the public’s help in tracking these suspects down. Any information should be forwarded to Detective Peter Kingston at 203-891-2138.
